The SDCEP Drug Prescribing For Dentistry guidance brings together advice on dental prescribing from the BNF and BNFC that is most relevant to primary care dental practice. Advice on drugs used to manage medical emergencies is also provided. The information on drug prescribing in the third edition of the guidance, published in 2016, was based on BNF 70 and BNFC 2015-16. The Programme Development Team monitors each new print edition of the BNF and BNFC and provides relevant updates to the guidance.
