The hydrofluoric acid have the same purpose as the phosphoric acid, but it is used to prepare prosthetic pieces (ceramics, glass ceramics, resins, metal-ceramics, among others) for an adhesion/cementation process. The product cleans the surface and also chemically etches the prosthetic piece, promoting an increase in surface area (roughness), thereby enhancing mechanical adhesion.
