FUE Microscopic Endodontic Center Basic And Advanced - Location: North 90 St cairo. - Director of FUE Microscopic Center: Prof. Dr. Adel Abdelwahed. - Credit Hours: 70 Hours. - Duration in Clinic: Four Weeks. - Clinical Work on Microscopes: 70 Hours (10 Days). - Workshop: 14 Hours (Bench Microscope). Each candidate will work for 10 days on patients using The Dental operating microscope to perform ( 15-20 ) patients Basic and Advanced cases ( Broken file- perforation repair- Retreatment - open apex ). All cases will be supervised by top-level professionals in endodontic field over the shoulder Supervision. Course Objective: - Identify different parts of the surgical microscope and its mechanism of action. - Understand the working positions of the operator on using the microscope and the ergonomics at the microscope - Performing an access cavity preparation using the microscope. - Identify extra canals and how to locate them using ultrasonics. - Negotiating Narrow canals - Prepare severely curved canals - Applying the crown down approach during cleaning and shaping of the root canal. - Shifting the obturation technique from lateral compaction to vertical compaction and thermo plasticized techniques. - Gain a true appreciation of how the new era of 3- dimensional shaping, cleaning and obturation will impact on their practice future. - Recognize the rationale behind retreatment & estimate the success rate. - Detect Different causes for failure of root canal treatment. - Elaborate a correct treatment plan (Extraction & implant - Non-surgical retreatment - Surgical retreatment) - Learn the different methods of coronal disassembly. - Removal of different types of posts. - Removal of previous obturating canal filling materials(Paste, sealer, guttapercha, Thermafil, Silver points) - Repair of iatrogenic mishaps: Bypassing ledges, perforations repair, locating missed canals. - Diagnose different types of perforations and how to repair them. - MTA apical plugs (Case selection and management) - Identify the different causes of instrument separation and practice different techniques for their removal. - Regenerative Endodontics (Case selection and technique).
